You look really familiar and if you are who I think that you are, I only saw you once, but...by any chance, do you give awesome massages? I know...that is a really strange question to ask, but...if you do... then you are who I think that you are. Are you Sis. Lorie?
I met you at Catawba, making apple butter, almost three years ago. I lived in Oklahoma then, now I'm in Canada. My hair was much shorter then too. So...tell me...am I right or did my brain check out on me again?
momma tammi~ Yes I am the "Massage Queen" that you met at Catawba. Usually, when I come to church (local and abroad), it's not "Hey, how are you Lorrie", but rather the first words out of the mouth are "you know my neck is REALLY hurting, maybe you could give me a massage while your here". And at Camp or convention, I don't get a moment's rest! WHOOWEE! No, actually, I do really enjoy making people feel better. It is certainly a gift from God that my hands usually don't get tired....just ask Michelle Cooper. I keep threating to charge, but some people would NEVER get out of debt! HEHE:) I have seriously thought about setting up a booth (all ladies of course) at camp to raise money for October world missions? How about "Massages for Missions$$"? UMMM, well, no maybe not. I'll come up with something by then. Whatcha think Sister Regional Missionary Leader?
Hey, I think that is a great way to raise money for missions. Do you know how much it would cost for a 15 minute massage here in Canada? A 30 minute massage for $5 would be a steal and you would raise the money.
If I get to see you again, I promise I won't hit you up for a massage right off the bat. ~grin~ But, I will tell you this, I really do appreciate that massage that you gave me after I had been stirring those huge pots off and on for several hours. My back was in serious distress and you really were a blessing to me. I have thanked God for you many times.
Hello, you don't know me either, but this will make you laugh anyway. As I am reading your post and then everyones replys, i think they are saying that you are the one who preaches the great mEssages, as i go a little futher in the comments, i realize they are say mAAssages..hee hee. Nice to meet ya Sis....Sis katie from Idaho, Sis Kasey's Momma.
Oooooh, I have more visitors! Hi Wendy, Kasey and Katie! Wendy~ good to hear from you! Tell Bro Danny I said hello. Kasey and Katie~ if I was there, I'd give you a big Church of God hug! My husband is the one who preaches the mEssages, and I give the mAssages (to females, of course)...he's kinda funny about that, you know? I am still new at this blogging thing, and don't have the time to do it like I want to, but it's cool to know what's going on with everyone. Hopefully, I will get to see you all the assembly?? I believe it will be one that will go down in history.
I am first and foremost BLESSED to be a child of the King and a member of His beautiful church! I have been a member of the church for 12 years now, thanks to my best friend (now my husband!) inviting me to revival. I am the local youth director and enjoy teaching the children in Sunday School. My husband, Michael is currently a lay minister and feels the call to pastor someday. There is hardly a time that you would see me when I am not smiling or laughing (yes, even in my sleep!). I LOVE being around people, especially church folk... so much so, that my husband and I are usually the last one to leave the church (he just LOVES that). Some of you out there may remember me from BTI (1998-2001).
